Black Honey Fig Unknown - 2 Cuttings - Sweet Jammy Honey Figs
The Black Honey Fig comes from a fellow fig grower who sent us this variety mislabeled as Calderona. After the fig tree fruited we realized that it was not the Calderona fig variety. We have been unable to determine which variety this yet. Nevertheless, it turned out to be one of our favorite honey figs. Dark purple to black skin, small to medium size figs, with sweet jammy light yellow to amber color interior. We can not say for certain if this is a self fertile fig variety becuase we live in a location with the fig wasps. This listing is for 2 cuttings, suitable for rooting or grafting. Fig trees are easy to grow from cuttings We use the "fig pop" rooting method to root fig cuttings, and have around 80%-90% success rate without using any rooting hormone. Please do an online search for "fig pop method" to find instructions for how to root fig cuttings.
