Texas BA-1 Fig - 2 Cuttings - Bronze Figs with Sweet Strawberry Flavor
The TX BA-1 Fig variety originates from the Texas A&M fig breeding program. Excellent small to medium size figs with bronze green skin and jammy red pulp. Sweet delicious rich strawberry flavor. Produces a drop of honeydew, which seals the small eye of the fig. Several fig growers have compared this variety to the Smith fig, and we agree that it is similar to the Smith cultivar. The skin seems to be a little thicker than Smith, which may be good for protecting the fig from spoiling in rainy locations. This is a self fertile or common fig, which does not require the fig wasp pollination to produce ripe figs. This listing is for 2 cuttings, suitable for rooting or grafting. Fig trees are easy to grow from cuttings. We use the "fig pop" rooting method to root fig cuttings, and have around 80%-90% success rate without rooting hormone. Please do an online search for "fig pop method" to find instructions for how to root fig cutting.
