Lang Jawoll Superwash Strong and long-wearing, Lang Jawoll Superwash is the perfect yarn for socks! This fingering-weight yarn is spun with wool from Corriedale sheep (sourced in Chilean Patagonia) with a touch of polyamide. The average thickness of the wool is only 25 microns, which means Jawoll Superwash is wonderfully soft. It’s also highly resistant to pilling—an excellent quality for knitting projects that undergo a bit of friction. Lang Jawoll is perfect also for knitting Fair Isle patterns; you need a sock yarn that has certain firmness, but also enough loose fibers so that the stitches fit together nicely. Jawoll is perfect for this! If you want to strengthen your socks’ heels and toes even further, be sure to check out our Lang Jawoll Reinforcement Bobbins!   Fiber: 75% Virgin Corriedale Wool, 25% Nylon Yardage: 230 yards (210 meters) Needle: US 1.5-4 (2.5-3.5mm)  Gauge: 21-32sts = 4 inches (10 cm) Weight: Fingering Care: Machine washable
