Yorgos Lanthimos directed her to Oscar glory, while dressed in this magnificent robe created by costume designer Sandy Powell • The watermark will not appear on the printed poster. Traditional royal robes of this period were commonly made of solid gold, embroidered and adorned with jewels. Powell looked for another way to impress the queen with majesty: she used ermine, (traditionally used as decoration on royal garments), but covering Colman's Queen Anne with it from head to toe.
