Charlotte Rampling’s portrayal of Lucia Atherton showcased her immense talent and marked a turning point in her acting career. • The watermark will not appear on the printed poster. Depending on who you ask, Cavani’s film is either a heartbreaking depiction of a taboo (yet devoted) relationship, or a deplorable attempt to eroticise one of the most awful events in human history.
