Abel SDS - Larko Fly Reel Power, Reliability, Smoothness and Beauty Andrea Larko’s original Zentangle style took the fly fishing world by storm, and Abel was proud to be among the first manufacturers to feature her unique work.  Our first collaboration consisted of her beautifully complex Bonefish and Brown Trout designs.  Although a challenge for our Abel anodizing team to recreate, we all felt they were worth the effort to share with the world.  A new Permit design is available as a laser-engraved design on any reel in the lineup. Individually laser engraved, and put through a proprietary polishing/texturizing process, these reels feature an innovative, first of its kind finish. Though complicated, the process requires less time than our hand-anodized graphic finishes, allowing for a Base Price + $200 premium on gloss black, or + $300 on any solid color gloss finish reel.
