A benchmark Loire Cabernet Franc, this wine shines with a translucent ruby hue and an expressive nose of violets, blackberry, and freshly turned earth. The palate is vibrant and structured, offering flavors of red currant, pencil lead, and a touch of green peppercorn that earned 93 points. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in neutral oak, it retains crunchy acidity (pH 3.4) at 13% alcohol. The finish is long and mineral-driven, with a hint of graphite. Decant an hour for herb-roasted lamb or mushroom tart to appreciate its classic Chinon character. Best 2025-2035.
