rooster charm

This tiny piece took me quite a while to complete. First, I painted the rooster in acrylics, but it was just kind of "meh". I had started toying with the idea of collage, so I thought I'd give it a try. With teensy, tiny scissors, I was cutting out flowers, feathers and glossing them on with, no joke, tweezers. What emerged was a one-of-a-kind handmade ornament and after glazing it, I then stenciled on these light reflecting dots just to add more personality. These are circular pieces of sanded wood and are ready to hang anywhere your heart pleases. I hope Mr. Rooster finds a fun place to hang in your home!
