Fire Barrier Pillows work great by filling openings, spaces, and gaps in walls, ceilings, and floors to provide a barricade to stop fire, smoke and harmful gases from passing. The 3M™ Fire Barrier Pillow expands when heated to press and seal together to form a fire-rated divider. UL 910 flammability tested (3 hour fire rating by Underwriters Laboratory) UL Listed systems up to 540 sp. in. opening. ASTM 814 (UL1479) tested Designed to meet NEC, NFPA, SBCCI, BOCA and ICBO building codes. *Graphite free and no wire mesh. Performance-3M Fire Barrier Pillow has been tested in accordance with ASTM E 84. Density: 6 PCF (nominal) Heat Expansion Begins: 392°F (200°C) Significant Expansion Begins: 536°F (280°C) Volume Expansion: 18% (calculated)
