Barred Holland Chicks (Hatched)
The Barred Holland is a wonderful heritage backyard breed. It is traditionally docile, able to forage for much of its own food and is very trainable to coops. It is a critically listed breed and it is consider the rarest chicken in the United States. Our goal at Firefly Farm & Mercantile is to help start 1,000 flocks around the country and specifically the Midwest. We are located in Southeast Wisconsin where winter temperatures plunge to -20 below and summers can be in the 90's. Our birds handle both extremes really well. The Barred Holland Chicken is a critically listed chicken. At this time, chicks are farm pick-up only but we do ship eggs for hatching spring through fall. Chicks are hatched several times a year.
