Shoofly Pie Coffee

Shoofly Pie Coffee Shoofly Pie is a Pennsylvania Dutch cuisine made with a molasses bottom and a scrumptious crumb pie. This PA Dutch favorite was named from the history of chasing flies away from their pies. Ladies would put their pies outside on a pie table to cool. The flies would swarm around because of the sugar in the molasses. The ladies would "shoo" the flies away with their hands and towels — hence the name Shoofly Pie.
