Jing Jun Mei

This Jing Jun Mei is produced from tea grown outside of the Wuyi Nature reserve and is a great way to try this unique black tea, before moving onto the much more expensive authentic Jing jun Mei.  Dry leaves are black, yellow and white, the black having traces of gold Tea liquor exhibits a sweet honey aroma  Tea liquor is thick, deep, mellow and sweet with a lingering finish A unique and exquisite black tea. Wonderfully deep and mellow.   Brewing: Brew as per our oolong brewing guide but reduce the amount of leaves in the gaiwan or pot by half (4g) and cool the water to about 90 degrees Celsius after boiling.  Check out our rating system here.  Read about Wuyi tea here.
