Designed in 1938 - 1941, it was used for reconnaissance, and infantry support. Although lightly armored and armed with only a 20mm cannon, the T-60 played an important role in buying time for the Red Army while heavier tanks like the T-34 entered mass production.A rare variant of the T-60, known as the Antonov A-40, was developed as an experimental flying tank. Soviet engineers attached detachable glider wings and a tail to a standard T-60, intending to have it towed by aircraft and released behind enemy lines. However the concept was ultimately abandoned after a single test flight. We hope you enjoy building this piece of history!
