However, they have a different flavor profile than the Madagascar Vanilla. The aroma is often described as bold raisin-like or fig-like. The pods are often plumper than the Madagascar counterpart with more oil content, but not necessarily a higher seed density. These Premium Grade A pods typically have a moisture content of 30-35% which means they are fresh, oily moist, and thus can easily be split to remove the caviar.
