Cabbage - Red Acre This is an easy to grow red cabbage that is fast maturing. This plant makes cabbage heads that are about 7” in diameter and weighs about 2-3 pounds. The red acre variety stores really well and is great for coleslaw.  Type: Heirloom When to Plant:  North Florida: September - January Central Florida September - January South Florida: September - January Planting instructions: Plant in a spot with full sun and well-draining soil. Give each plant 12” of space between each other. Sow directly into the garden or start transplants undercover.
