INTERPRETATION OF WESTERN SAHARA Western Sahara is on the upper west coast of Africa. It is a contested nation with Morocco claiming it as its territory but the UN calls it a non-self governing territory. A strip of it on on the coast is controlled by SADR who declares it a free zone but still Islam and these two factions are at war.One of the most sparsely populated .territories in the world(1/2 million) and nearly half that lives in one city., mainly consisting of desert flatland.
