“No pride for some of us without liberation for all of us.”—Marsha P. Johnson In response to the rainbow-washing that happens each June, this design simply acknowledges that 2SLGBTQ+ people belong, in all forms and in all places. It has been 40 years since the first Pride in Tulsa. The June 1983 newsletter by the Gay Press Association appeals, “During our celebrating, we must set new goals. There is still a great need to join closer together. We must work together and not be at odds with each other…[keeping] in mind this year’s theme: PRIDE IN UNITY.” A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to Freedom Oklahoma to support their efforts in continuing to fight for our queer liberation. 3.8 oz, 50/25/25 polyester/airlume combed and ringspun cotton/rayon About the artist: Ryan Fitzgibbon is an artist and publisher, whose studio practice is currently supported by the Tulsa Artist Fellowship. He founded Hello Mr. magazine in 2012, which is being memorialized in a forthcoming book
