Johnson In response to the rainbow-washing that happens each June, this design simply acknowledges that 2SLGBTQ+ people belong, in all forms and in all places. It has been 40 years since the first Pride in Tulsa. The June 1983 newsletter by the Gay Press Association appeals, “During our celebrating, we must set new goals. There is still a great need to join closer together.
