Pride 2022 tee / tank

“No pride for some of us without liberation for all of us.”—Marsha P. Johnson In response to the rainbow-washing that happens each June, this t-shirt design simply acknowledges that 2SLGBTQ+ people belong, in all forms and in all places. It has been 40 years since the first Pride in Tulsa. As the obscured poster text from the June 1983 newsletter by the Gay Press Association appeals, “During our celebrating, we must set new goals. There is still a great need to join closer together. We must work together and not be at odds with each other…[keeping] in mind this year’s theme: PRIDE IN UNITY.” Inspired by decades of queer activism, this design highlights a broad range of issues facing 2SLGBTQ+ people today. Critical updates acknowledge the members of our community that for too long were overlooked and erased from the telling of our history.  50% of the proceeds will be donated to Freedom Oklahoma to support their efforts in continuing to fight for our queer liberation.
