On the nose, this whiskey offers notes of cinnamon rhubarb and plum pie, Orange Jaffa cake, star anise, cedar box, and toasted pecan with dates. Flavors of black cherry reduction, molasses, birch root, fig jam,and ginger bread. The finish shows notes of spiced clove, blackberries, candied ginger, wooden spice box, and orange peel. High West Distillery recommends that you enjoy this special spirit neat, due to its many layers of complexity, next to a warm fire as the snow piles up on the window sill.
