JM Labruyere Prologue Grand Cru Champagne
JM Labruyere Prologue Grand Cru Champagne Prologue is the first cuvée of the house, and introduces the philosophy of Champagne J.M.Labruyère: terroir-driven, low dosage to underline the natural ripeness of the grapes and extended ageing on lees. This blend is mainly from the 2018 harvest, a sunny and precocious year, which ended with the harvest of perfectly ripe and healthy grapes. The use of reserve wines for almost a third of the blend adds a vinous character, a beautiful complexity, and leads to an extra-brut dosage. Critical Acclaim 92 James Suckling This has an attractive nose of baked apples, spiced pears, raspberries, custard and buttered toast. It’s medium-bodied with bright acidity and round bubbles. Gently toasty, dry finish. 75% pinot noir and 25% chardonnay. 92 Wine Advocate Disgorged with 0.8 grams per liter dosage on November 4, 2022, J.M Labruyère’s NV Prologue is based on the 2018 vintage, complemented by some 27% reserve wines from three vintages (2015, 2014 and 2013)
