About The Tethered Night Vision Lanyard provides effective elastic retention of your NVGs with a reliable mounting platform. The fabric loop secures underneath the helmet bolts of your harness system. This method significantly reduces the risk of your NVGs being lost should the mount or J-arm break away. The installed cordloc allows for immediate changes in tension to accommodate for the device being deployed or stowed. The shock cord is fed through the smaller split key ring located at the helmet and then the mini carabiner will attach at the NVG housing. The larger split key ring will be utilized on the PVS 14, PVS 31, etc. Removing your NVG unit for storage: Disconnect the mini carabiner. Pull the assembly back through the split key ring located at the helmet. Re-connect the mini carabiner assembly to the NVG unit for storage.
