Winter, Joan W. "Deep First Light"

Using an experimental aquatint process to create the copper plate for the etching series, Deep, Joan Winter references both the waterfall images and cloud drawings. The series of four prints were developed with several unique ink colors, investigating the subtle shifts in color caused by sunlight conditions at different times of day. There were four color variations, this is the first of the variations titled First Light.
