The world-famous Swedish Spirit producer Absolut is located near Åhus village in southern Sweden. Established in 1879, it was introduced to the global market only in 1979 when it was launched in New York. Their transparent, simple bottle is inspired by an 18th century medicine bottle and it is the embodiment of the Scandinavian simple and cool style. Not one to get stuck in the past, Absolut is also very environmentally conscious (I mean, this is Scandinavia after all.), practicing a One Source production philosophy. The water and winter wheat are sourced exclusively from the Åhus village. The distillation process is carbon neutral and Absolut bottles are made from 40% recycled glass.
