A beautifully-aged Rum from the Dominican Republic with a deep, warm flavor profile. Sans Wine and Spirits was founded in 1985 by Lou Sans. After working for his father Nick in the Spirits business for years, he recognized a need for Latin inspired Spirits in Southern California. Based in Irvine, California, the company has grown, developing a range of Tequilas, Sangrias, Vodkas, and Rums — including Los Jarochos, a neutral Spirit from Veracruz made from cane juice. Bacoo Rums are made farm-to-bottle in central Dominican Republic where the weather and volcanic soil is perfect for growing sugarcane. Bacoo 11 Year Old Rum is normally hard to get in the US. The Spirit was bottled and sold mainly in the UK. But we managed to get our hands on a few cases and are eager to share. The cane juice is fresh-pressed and fermentation is started within hours — and it makes a difference.
