A seven-year-old Cuban Rum with a warm humidor flavor profile. Made in Cuba since 1934, Havana Club — the Cuban version — is a partnership between Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government. Together they have been producing and distributing Havana Club Rum since 1993 as Corporación Cuba Ron based in Havana and have a stable of Rums, table Wines, Spirits, and carbonated beverages. Havana Club 7 Year Old Dark Rum was designed to be sipped first and mixed second. Seven years is a LONG time in the Caribbean sun, and that effort should be enjoyed straight. From there, if you have your heart set on a cocktail, skip the blended Daiquiris and go for something like a Rumhattan or Rum Fashioned so the flavor of the aged Spirit can be appreciated.
