We wanted to add just a bit more interest to these canisters, and remembered that during one of our many experiments, wood grain looks really awesome on concrete- and so the wood-inspired lid was created! Each concrete canister is hand-burnished to expose its natural highlights and lowlights until the ideal patina is achieved. This process also makes the concrete more dense (less porous) and smooths its surface.
