These delicate rasboras are extremely sensitive when imported because they can be prone to parasites, so we hold them for a minimum of 14 days and run them through a parasite cleanse before listing them for sale. Once they’re healthy, blue neon rasboras become much easier to care for, but we still do not recommend them for beginners. This species is characterized by its vibrant coloration, peaceful temperament, and active schooling behavior, making it a unique addition to nano aquariums. Blue neon rasboras can grow up to 1 inch in length, making them ideal for small tanks. They are native to blackwater streams and peat swamps in Borneo, Sumatra, and other parts of Indonesia.
