Catnip

Dried Catnip Nepeta cataria   USES: Catnip is best known for its' effects on cats.  It can help stimulate their appetite, stimulate playfulness, or elevate their mood.   IT works as a great attractant if you are trying to capture strays, lure your escaped cat, make a new friend, etc.  Use Catnip in herbal tea blends, or add to savory dishes for added flavor and nutrition.  Catnip can also be used as an insect and rodent repellant - Infuse in oils or tinctures, or sprinkle catnip around areas that you want to deter pests from.    Active Compounds: volatile oils, Sterols, Acids, and Tannins. Nepetalactone, Nepetalic acid, Nepetalic anhydride, Citral, Limonene, Dispentine, Geraniol, Citronella, Nerol, Caryophyllene, and Valeric acid nepetalactone.   STORAGE: Store in a sealed container in a cool, dark place.
