The design features a 9.8 cm X 2.2 cm foam strip that wraps comfortably around the finger. A single, high performance silver - silver chloride electrode (10 mm diameter), with a much better signal to noise ratio than stainless steel electrodes, is surrounded by a 16 mm diameter gel cup that serves as a convenient reservoir for holding skin conductive recording paste (TD-246), or other gels. The disposable nature of this electrode offers extreme convenience and ease of use, eliminating the need for involved cleaning protocols between subjects.
