The Metropolitan
Long before stadiums had corporate names with as much charm as stale popcorn, they were named after men and locations. Sure the names may have been just as corporate but I'll take Briggs and Comiskey over Comerica and US Cellular any day. These cathedrals were meeting places, a spot to spend an afternoon cheering for the home team. They're all gone now but the memories that took place within their walls still remain, even if now home plate is a parking lot and left field is a mall. All that's left of the Old Met is home plate, a red stadium chair and memories of Killebrew, Carew and Oliva. There's a mall over the site now, the most visited mall in the world. Home plate is in the northwest corner of Nickelodeon Universe. A single red chair hangs on the wall to commemorate the exact landing spot of Killebrew's fabled 520-foot home run. Never mind that the seats in the Met's outfield were green bleachers. - 100% soft fine jersey cottonĀ (Gray is 90% cotton, 10% polyester) - Uses prevale
