Coffee cultivation began in Nepal in the 1980s as a way for rural Nepali farmers to generate income by using their most precious resource, the rich fertile soil of the Himalayan Mountains middle hills. Nepal is one of the Northernmost coffee regions in the world, and this coffee is unique in character. This specialty coffee is cultivated in the foothills of the Himalayan mountains at elevation ranging from 3,000-4,000 feet above sea level. The fertile soil and unique climate makes the mountainous region of Nepal ideal for coffee cultivation.  All Sapana coffee is 100% natural, non-GMO and always pesticide free, and sourced from a specific region in Nepal, contributing to its unique and crisp flavor.
