Bull Run American Whiskey

96% corn, 4% malted barley; this fourteen-year-old whiskey from Bull Run distillers is a rich, soft Kentucky-styled spirit, but hails from Portland, Oregon. Aged in used bourbon barrels, but not overly sweet or barrel-influenced, this is a lighter style of corn-based whiskey. This is a barrel-strength whiskey, clocking in at 118 proof - good for cocktail making, but best on the rocks or with just a splash of water to draw out some of the more complex notes to be found on this whiskey.
