Letterpress Birthday Card: Noodles

This design was painted with Chinese paintbrushes and black calligraphy ink on thick, premium raw rice paper. It was then made into a letterpress plate and individually pressed on a vintage flatbed cylinder Vandercook press, onto soft cotton paper.Blank inside.- 4-Bar / A1 folded card (3.5 x 4.875 inches)- Paired with gold envelope- Cello sleeved for protection- Printed on 118 lb. tree-free cotton paper made from 100% recovered cotton (that would otherwise go to a landfill) from the textile industry- Printed with a hand-cranked vintage letterpress in our Los Angeles studio
