He was immediately enrolled in the Ecole Boulle, where his tutor Regis engraved like Rembrandt. He worked in Haute Couture designing patterns on silk but made the sudden decision to go to Venice to paint. He became an immediate success and he soon came to the attention of American art dealers Sol Saperstein in New York and and Martin Lowitz in Los Angeles. From there his work caught the eye of the “Rat Pack,” including Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and Peter Lawford. He also sold paintings to the Duke of Bedford, Lord Charles and Lady Phillipa Chelsea, Lady Primrose Cadogan, and others in the aristocratic society set.
