Goji berries

"Lycium barbarum" air dried, no added sugar Goji berries originate in Asia where they have been used as a medicinal herb and food supplement for over 2000 years. They contain large amounts of antioxidants which may protect against eye diseases, balances the insulin levels and supports the immune system. Labeled as "super fruit" it is being sold as a way to slow down aging and support against a variety of illnesses. Goji berries are rich in Vitamin A, B and some Vitamin C. Since they don't contain too much sugar make the perfect little treat for small animals. Suitable for degus as treats (low sugar contents).  Some bunny people even recommend giving goji berries in cases of e.cuniculi, bladder sludge or other infections.     Please keep always in mind when you serve your pet new food: Some animals need their time to smell and try it since a lot of them have never smelled a flower or certain herbs before.  We, however, found that most critters dig our flower mixes right away. :-) St
