The frame is stained a black. It was milled in house The mat has openings for K1 through Senior. The mat is gray stained and slides into the wooden frame. K1 through 11th grade are for photos sized at 2 1/2inch by 3 1/2 inch wallet and a 5 x 7 inch is for the Senior photo. The opening itself is 2 inches by 3 Inches. And 4 and 1/2 by 6 and 1/2. The overall size of the piece is about 18 inches tall by 13 inches tall The frame is 7/8 inch thick **THIS PIECE DOES NOT COME WITH GLASS**
