Laid in separately, a note from Sharkey, "Parkey Sharkey/ Yesterday/ Enclosed free copy of/ my book ect (sic.), some/ 1909 pictures, how/ about a trade for/ some of the world/ war one pictures, you/ got. I have been kind/ of on the sick list/ don't feel like driving/ too much how about airplane picture./ Enclosed envelope/ for return mail. I'll/ try and get you a/ plug with Sherwood/ soon. OK./ Parkey Sharkey". 'Sherwood' referred to, is presumably Don Sherwood, who was a very famous radio personality in the San Francisco Bay Area in the sixties, and was also mentioned as one of Sharkey's friends on the dedication page.
