AP PDF Transcript: Finding Themes in the Birthchart
Complete written PDF transcript of the program Finding Themes in the Birthchart Excerpt Preview: Our aim for the next four days is to sharpen our skills at what is probably the single most elemental tool in the interpretation of the chart and that is, how to get the pattern. How to detect the themes. How to let the chart speak to you. We have our classic astrological dilemma, that once you have a little bit of understanding of the symbols, they just say so much. Those of you who have been in the class before have heard me say this one a whole lot, but how easily we can get into trouble worrying about the midpoint of Chiron and the Vertex, all the while forgetting that the Moon is in Gemini. In other words, there has to be a sense of hierarchy about what is more important and what is less important so that we can keep perspective on the symbols. Within that, though, and this is where we'll be focusing over the next few days, the process of kind of seeing where the lines of energy flow through the chart. What are the themes? We're dealing, at least initially, with big, broad questions, like, 'Is this the chart of an introvert or an extrovert?' And, when we consider the introversion extroversion scales -- obviously, one of the grossest and broadest measures of human characteristics - when we consider it, we all recognize that it's most unusual to find somebody who is completely introverted or completely extroverted. You know, at one hundred or zero on the scale. Most of us can identify the characteristics of either of those within us. 337 pages, pdf download. 2002.
