
Bowie Damascus Steel Hunting Knife
The famous James Bowie played an integral part in the Texas Revolution in the nineteenth century. His fame started from his fight with Sheriff Norris Wright. Two opposing groups met on a sandbar in Mississippi to witness a duel. A riot broke out among the two groups. Bowie was shot in the hip, smashed in the head by a pistol and then impaled by Wright's sword cane. As Wright tried to remove the sword, Bowie pulled him down and impaled him with his knife; killing Wright on the spot. Bowie was then shot again and stabbed in the back. After surviving all of this Bowie became feared and respected throughout the country for his knife fighting abilities.
