Hugh Glass 12" Hunting Knife
Hugh Glass was born in Pennsylvania in the early 1800’s. One of the earliest known memories is when Hugh joined General Ashley’s 1823 expedition to ascend the river Missouri. This expedition was attacked by the Arikara warriors and many people were killed. The Ashley Party eventually regrouped with Andrew Henry and set out overland to the Yellowstone River. While scouting, Glass disturbed a grizzly bear and her two cubs. The grizzly charged Glass, picked him up and wounded him greatly. Glass and his party were able to kill the grizzly but Glass was left for dead. Amazingly, Glass did not die and crawled 200 miles to Fort Kiowa. Our hunting knife design is inspired by the mountain men and frontiersmen who tried to tame this land. The 7.5” blade has a classic look with a slight drop point.
