Fortune Cookie Lockets // Red & Roses

The first time I wore one of these out into the world was a Saturday morning in the East Village. I went to the local coffee shop where I spent the last year designing almost this entire collection. The girl behind the counter interrupted me, mid-order (dirty chai, extra shot of espresso, please) and exclaimed, "I'm so sorry, but where did you get that necklace? I'm obsessed!" It caught me totally off guard. Mostly because she was the first person not related to me or required by laws-of-friendship to compliment it. Needless to say, she made my holiday gift list. Oh, and I've noticed that guys seem to like it, too: "Cool Pac-Man necklace."  That works... The Fortune Cookie Lockets hold an accordion-folded fortune and other small, oddly shaped things. Slightly larger than the Petite Fortune Cookie Pendants, the Fortune Cookie Lockets have a similarly rustic feel with wavy edges and a slightly uneven, yet shiny, texture.
