Name: Tenontosaurus Type: Herbivore Size: 6-8 Meters long Tenontosaurus was a medium- to large-sized ornithopod dinosaur that lived during the Early Cretaceous period, around 110 million years ago, and weighed between 1,000 and 2,000 kilograms. One of its most distinctive features was its long, powerful tail, which made up more than half of its total body length and was reinforced with ossified tendons that had turned into bone. Tenontosaurus primarily walked and ran on its hind legs, though it also possessed strong forelimbs with short, broad front feet, and a long, flexible neck. It lacked teeth at the front of its mouth but had a horny beak for cropping
