The Jurassic was a time of giants! Torvosaurus – This enormous Morrison Formation theropod is also known from Portugal! One of the heaviest and longest Jurassic predators ever discovered, this Torvosaurus claw ranks as among the coolest around! Allosaurus – Though often dubbed the wolf of the Jurassic, evidence in the form of Epanterias indicates this genus could reach weights and lengths approaching that of Torvosaurus. This is one of my all-time favorite hand claws! Camarasaurus – Often overlooked thanks to the giant Brachiosaurus and elongate Supersaurus, the huge Camarasaurus supremus was the largest of the known Camarasaurus, approaching the size of Brachiosaurus!
