Black on Blue

I am concerned with making the materials and processes behind my work clear to the viewer. This rests primarily in the way the images are constructed, but also in the manner that they are painted or drawn. My most recent paintings and drawings are complex variations of a swastika shape: that is, an equilateral cross with its arms bent at right angles. Aside from this structure, there are several rules I follow; most important is that neither positive nor negative areas be wider than each other, except in the central axis.
