ARTIST BIO Jock McDonald, born in Vancouver, Canada in 1961, opened his photography and film studio in San Francisco in 1986. He is a self-taught photographer whose work explores nature in its infinite permutations. Using multiple exposures, time-lapsed photography, and his signature woven photographs, McDonald strives to capture the subtle, often imperceptible changes and fluctuations that occur in the natural world all around us.
