In A Course in Miracles, the parable is discussed in the section in the text called “The Treasure of God,” which Jesus uses to teach us about our own journey away from our true home and treasure in Heaven, which in the workshop is described as a journey into the far country of individuality and specialness. We took God's creative power and conferred it on ourselves, squandering the power of love in our minds for something of no value. The presentation in the workshop thus begins with the o
