Pepper: Early Jalapeno

Early Jalapeno is a fast maturing strain of the classic that gives hot peppers a fighting chance in northern gardens. Round, blunt bottom 3" fruit with thick walls are usually harvested dark green but will turn to red if left to ripen. Although Early Jalapeno is better adapted to short seasons and cooler climates, it is still a very tender crop that needs consistent heat to produce.  Peppers are a challenging crop in the north and require warmth and extra care to reach maturity.
