Tomato: Galina
Solanum lycopersicum 25 seedsMaturity: 70 days from transplantIndeterminate Certified organic seed grown by Adaptive Seeds in Sweet Home, Oregon. Galina was brought back to the USA by renowned seed grower, breeder, and educator, Bill McDorman in a 1989 seed seeking mission in Siberia. A brave scientist shared these with Bill at great personal risk and northern gardeners have owed him a debt of gratitude ever since. Galina is an indeterminate vining potato leaf variety known for being very early and prolific. Large clusters of 3/4-1" bright bold yellow cherry tomatoes feel almost neon in color and resist cracking, even in a wet season when everyone else is struggling. Galina keeps very well off the vine, lasting weeks after harvest and maintains its sweet, classic cherry tomato flavor. Tomatoes are a challenging crop in the north and require warmth and extra care to reach maturity.
