--OVERVIEW--  A vigorous large-leafed tree with an open growth habit. Produces large pink-fleshed fruit which are somewhat larger than standard grapefruit. Heavy production in the right location, provided sufficient summer heat and frost protection.  Glossy broad-winged foliage and fragrant flowers. Chandler Pummelos are delicious juicy fruits with mostly sweet flavor & some acidity. The flesh is firm but tender.  The rind is quite bitter so peel the fruit prior to consumption.  Self-fertile Best for Zones 9-11/ Protect below 32 F For Zones 4-8, you can grow this tree in a pot and bring it indoors for the winter. Grafted onto semi-dwarf rootstock.
