--OVERVIEW-- Holiday Avocado trees are Guatemalan A-type avocado trees that are highly productive. Fruit is pear-shaped, about 18-24 oz., and its green fruit holds to the tree very well. It was named Holiday because the fruit ripens between Labor Day and New Year's Day. Height at maturity: 12'-18' tall/ 10' wide Holiday Avocado trees are relatively short and tend to weep as they grow. A beautiful addition to your garden, for both in-ground and container growers. Ripens July-November Grafted onto Mexican Seedling rootstock. Suitable for USDA Zones 9-11 A mature tree is frost sensitive below 30 º F Trees younger than 3 years should be protected when temperatures fall below 32 F. Click here for Shipping Information END-ITEM--TREE SIZES-- These trees, measured from the top of the root ball, are 18-36” tall, with a trunk diameter between 1/4-1/2 inch.They are planted in a 5x12" growers pot. Within a month of delivery we suggest repotting into a larger (10"-12" diameter) container or planting directly in the ground. Ultimately, avocado trees will be happiest and most productive when planted in the ground. Like citrus trees,avocado trees appreciate well aeratedsoilthat retains moisture and also drains well.
